Cholera: Deeper Life GCK medical outreach treats 14, 000 patients

To support government in the fight against the outbreak of cholera, the Deeper Life Christian Ministry’s monthly Global Crusade medical team Thursday said it treated over 14,000 patients in the three states of Taraba, Abia, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the Republic of Cameroon.

Dr. Sam Onucha, leader of the medical team told journalists during the six-day medical outreach in at Gwagwalada, Abuja, that the aim of the outreach is to show the love of God to people.

Dr. Onucha said the team has bigger assignments in the treatment of gastroenteritis, particularly targeting cholera that would cater for 5,000 patients in Gwagwalada for five days.

On the outreach, Onucha said, “And this dream and vision is from our father-in-the Lord, the convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, Pastor William Kumuyi.

“So this intention is to deploy our profession, which has to do with the preservation of life to the people in the process reveal to them that we as doctors, nurses, pharmacists of the medical profession, indeed treat the people but healing is the exclusive preserve of God Almighty.”
