Chelle ‘ll succeed with Super Eagles – Agu

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has opines that  the Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle will thrive with the senior national team.

Chelle, who was appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to take over from Augustine Eguavoen on Monday, has been tasked with the responsibility of qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2026 World Cup.

Agu stated that with the array of talents at his disposal, Chelle will bring out the best from the players.

“I am delighted that the NFF has appointed a new coach in Eric Chelle to manage the Super Eagles. Many may feel that Chelle, but then the NFF must have seen reasons behind his appointment, and I believe he will succeed with the senior national team if given the free hand to operate.

“Impossible is nothing when it comes to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. With the right attitude from the players and coaches, I feel very optimistic that Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup.

“We just need to show him support and provide information where necessary; that will help the team to improve.”
