CAF strikes out Nigerian Refs from AFCON 2023

When the 2023 African Cup of Nations kicks off in Ivory Coast in January, Nigeria match officials will surely not be featuring.

Nigeria referees have been in the doldrums recently when it comes to major competitions and matches.

The 34th edition of AFCON will not be different as match officials are out without them.

Among the 19 selected nationalities Egypt and Morocco each have three representatives ahead of their leading pursuers Algeria, Gabon and Mauritania with two officials each.

The biennial competition will officially kick-off January 14 and ends February 11.
