CAF: Confederation Cup finalists to qualify for Champions League


The two finalists from the Confederation Cup will qualify straight into the champions league starting from next season the continental football governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) have decided


It was a style adopted by UEFA few years back in order to increase the competition in the Europa League,.
The acceptance of the system means that the finalists of this year Confederation Cup will automatically play in the Champion league irrespective of their positions in their domestic league.
The competition this season is already in the last four with 3 teams from North Africa and one other team from Guinea ( Horoya SC).


Zamalek of Egypt is the current holder of the cup after it defeated Raja Casablanca in the final last year.
