CAF appointments for Mba, others

Linus Mba, the NFF referees consultant who was axed by Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the thick of Nigeria’s problems with FIFA has been ‘reinstated’ with a match.
Next week end, the FIFA Referees Advisor will travel to Kumasi as Match Commissioner when Ghana host Uganda in the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The match scheduled for September 6 by 16.00 hrs also has Tunisian referees in charge. Med Said Kordi as referee, leads compatriots Anouar Hmila, Moheen Ben Salem and Slim Jedidi as fourth official.
Also, Nigerian referees will be on duty in Bamako as Mali host Malawi.
The referees so appointed are Joshua Opeyemi Amao, to be assisted by Peter Edibi and Abel Baba. The reserve referee is Henry Ogunyamodi.
Their Commissioner is Morocco’s Mohammed Guezzaz.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will also be on duty in Calabar against Congo and CAF has designated referees from Ghana, to be led by Joseph Odartey Lamptey. Others are Salifu Malik Alidu, David Laryea and Agbovi William.
The designated Match Commissioner is Boukar Mohammed of Niger.
