Buratai calls for greater unity, urges rebranding

Chairman Tukur Buratai Research Centre, Amb. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) has called on \Nigerians to look up to the new year with hope and be ready to rebrand the country for better opportunities ahead.

Commending resilience and tenacity of the Nigerian people, the former Chief of Army Staff praised Nigerians for their unwavering belief in the democratic process and their support for the present government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He acknowledged the current economic hardship, recognising that “the economy is biting hard” but emphasised that better times are on the horizon.

His message resonated with many Nigerians who have faced adversity with strength and optimism.

He strongly condemned the recent acts of vandalism targeting electrical installations along the Maiduguri-Damaturu road, highlighting the importance of protecting public infrastructure that serves as the backbone of society.

Amb. Buratai called for increased support for the military and security agencies in safeguarding these vital resources, which resonated with those who value peace and stability.

He also urged Nigerians to “continue to be resilient and never give up on their country” and to “shun away all acts of violence and channel grievances through legitimate means.”
