President Muhammadu Buhari has re – appointed Mrs Aishah Ndanusa Ahmad and Edward Lametek Adamu as Deputes Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The two appointees if confirmed by the Senate as requested for , by the President in a letter forwarded to the Senate , will serve in that capacity for second and final term of five years.
President Buhari in the letter dated 30th November , 2022 and read in plenary Tuesday by President of the Senate , Ahmad Lawan , said re – appointments of the duo, are in line with provision of section 8( 1) ( 2) of the Central Bank Establishment Act 2007.
He seeks for expeditious consideration of the request.
Also in another letter, President Buhari seeks for confirmation of appointment of Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako as a member of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) .
Ngbako’s confirmation as stated in the letter dated 1st December, 2022, is to represent the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT, Abuja) ,in the commission.
The letter reads in part: “Pursuant to paragraph 3, part 1 of the third schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999( as amended ) , I forward nomination of Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako as member of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
“The nominee will be representing FCT as a member of board of the commission.”
