Buhari donates N10m to Jigawa victims of fire disaster 

The former President, Mohammadu Buhari has donated the sum of N10 million to the victims of oil tanker explosion in Majiya town in Taura local government area of Jigawa state.

The former president who arrived Dutse, the Jigawa state capital around 5pm, did not say much other than the simple prayer for the victims.

On arrival, he went straight to the Rasheed Shokoni Federal University Dutse Teaching Hospital and conveyed his greeting to the victims presently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Buhari who came through Maiduguri, theBorno state capital, thanked the citizens of Jigawa state for waiting for his arrival all day long.

The former president was accompanied on the visit by some of his cabinet ministers, including Professor Ibrahim Ali Pantami, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy.

Others were Hadi Sirika, former Minister of Aviation and Boss Mustapha, the former Secretary to the Federal Government, as well as Engineer Suleiman Adamu, former Minister of Water Resources among others.

Speaking, the acting governor of the state, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel thanked the former president and his entourage for the donation of N10 million to the victims and families of those that lost loved ones.
