President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a powerful delegation to condole the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi, over the demised of ‘Wazirin Dutse, Air Vice Marshal Muktar Muhammed (retd) in a London hospital on Sunday.
The delegation was led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Danbazau, Defence Minister, Mansur Dan Ali, Minister of Aviation, Alhahi Hadi Sirika and Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mallam Garba Shehu.
Receiving the delegation yesterday in his Palace, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi said the death of AVM Muktar must have shocked the President more than anyone else in the country because of their closeness.
The Emir stressed that the deceased was his childhood friend from school days, saying the palace will miss him mostly for his constructive advice to the council in which he was a strong member.
The emir extolled the virtues of the deceased who said the history of the emirate and the state will never be completed without the mention of late Muktar whom he said was in the fore front for the creation of Jigawa state as a state, but also played a fundamental role in ensuring that Dutse became the state capital.
Kyari, however, presented the condolence letter of the President to the Emir of Dutse.
