Buhari at 75: Anti-graft war has restored respect for Nigeria – Ortom

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a selfless leader whose commitment to the fight against corruption has restored Nigeria’s place as a respected nation among the comity of nations
The governor also described as unprecedented the giant strides taken by the President to pull the country out of recession and expressed confidence that Buhari will do more for Nigerians in the months and years to come.
Ortom in a press statement to felicitate with President Buhari on his 75th birthday, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, and made available to newsmen yesterday in Makurdi, urged all Nigerians to support the President by embracing the policies of his administration, believing that the economy will continue to improve.
Governor Ortom cited one of the President’s popular quotes as the hallmark of determination in service to fatherland:
“This generation of Nigerians, and indeed the future generation, have no country other than Nigeria; we shall stay and salvage it together.”
He affirmed that the state will sustain its collaboration with the federal government in providing good governance and security in particular as demonstrated through the enactment of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law to end frequent crises between herdsmen and farmers in the state.
The governor on behalf of the government and the good people of the state, felicitated with Mr President and prayed that he enjoys many more years of good health and wisdom.
