Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has struck out the petitions filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ovie Omo-Agege.
According to the Tribunal, Friday, the petitions were struck out for lacking merit.
The former deputy senate president had challenged the election victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The three-member tribunal panel headed by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu, in its judgment, affirmed Oborevwori as the winner of the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
The tribunal held that the petitioners failed to prove allegations of non-compliance with the Electoral Act, corrupt practices beyond reasonable doubt.
