Breaking: PDP’s Jatau wins Zaki re-run election in Bauchi

Hon. Auwal Jatau of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of Zaki local government Federal Constituency of Bauchi state re-run election that took place Saturday.

Returning officer of the election Professor Ahmed Kutama declared him winner after getting a total of 15,405 votes against his rival Umar Tata of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 15,307 votes.

Our correspondent reports that Jatau is the current commissioner of health in the state.

The results of the Gamawa local government federal constituency is yet to be announced.

The contest into the Gamawa local government federal constituency is between Madaki Ahmed Gololo of the PDP and Isa Muhammad Wabu of the NNPP.
