Breaking: Okorodudu’s corpse released as friends pay outstanding hospital bill

To guarantee the release of the deceased Olympic boxing medalist, Jerry Okorodudu’s body, a sports-focused collective known as Family United By Sports has settled the outstanding hospital bill of N600,000 on Thursday.

The medical facility located in the Ikorodu region of Lagos State had initially refused to release the corpse.

Blueprint had earlier reported that he died at a private hospital in Lawandon, Lagos on Wednesday night after battling with foot ulcer.

Okorodudu represented Nigeria at the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.
