Arrival of the remaining players in the Super Eagles’ camp has been delayed as a result of the ongoing Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) strike.
Expected to join their teammates on Monday , 3rd of June are players including Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, and Paul Onuachu.
Promise Efoghe, the team’s new media officer, mentioned that these players, who are currently in the country, have been unable to travel to Uyo due to the NLC strike causing disruptions in domestic flights.
With 15 players already in camp, morning training took place at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, which lasted for two hours and covered fitness, shooting drills, and tactical sessions under the guidance of head coach Finidi George.
There will be another training session scheduled for the evening.
