David Luiz wants to leave Chelsea to join Arsenal before the transfer deadline Thursday.
The Brazil centre back did not turn up for training with the squad at Cobham today although Chelsea said that he is not on strike and has not refused to train.
Arsenal have not made an offer for Luiz 32, but are desperate to sign a new centre back after the sale of Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux for £4.6 million.
Arsenal appear to have failed in their attempt to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus despite an offer of a loan.
