Coach Ladan Bosso has assured that Abia Warriors will ride on their first round showing to finish in a good position in the Nigeria League.
Warriors are making their debut in the Nigeria top flight and are ninth on the table with 27 points.
Former Bayelsa United head coach Bosso stated that he was impressed with the results churned out in the first round by his largely young and inexperienced side that have seen the Umuahia-based side emerging as one of the top-scoring sides in the League.
“So far so good. Just like I said before the commencement of the league, I believe that by the grace of God, Warriors have not done badly but I assure that we would be better in the second round.
“The reason for my optimism is not far-fetched as we have prosecuted the league with the crop of players I met on ground with only two additions.
“Hopefully, with the addition of fresh and experienced players coupled with the support of the management led by chairman Emeka Inyama, we should conveniently challenge for the league shield or at worst a continental ticket like I did in my last club, Bayelsa United,” Bosso enthused.
