Boss, Fintiri, Pate hail Adamawa CoS as he bows out 

The banquet hall of Government House, Yola was agog weekend as different personalities across political divides  came together to celebrate one of Adamawa’s finest bureaucrats and chief of staff to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Dr. Amos Edger.

The event attracted personalities within and outside the state  and witnessed a public lecture to mark  formal retirement and 60th birthday anniversary of Dr. Edger, the immediate past head of service in the state.

He bowed out of service after clocking 60 years of age. 

The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who was the chairman of the occasion, thanked Gov. Fintiri  for appointing Edger  as the new chief of staff to the governor, thereby transiting him from civil  service to public service.

He described the chief of staff as one of Adamawa best, who has given his all to the state and its people throughout  his civil service years.

His devotion, he said, attracted him to the hearts of various administrations in the state and the present administration of Fintiri who entrusted him with new responsibility as chief of staff. He called on other civil servants in the state to emulate him.

 The former SGF further stated that in all these years when their path crossed, he found him to be honourable, reliable and dedicated.

 Governor Fintiri, represented by his deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, said his decision to bring him on board as his chief of staff some months to his retirement as head of service is as a result of his wonderful performance in office.

The governor described him as a tireless worker, helper and someone you can depend on.
