Muslim worshippers fled a mosque in Suleja following the discovery of Ghana-Must-Go bag beside the mosque fearing that it might contain a bomb.
Worshippers, who had trooped to the mosque at about 4.45 am yesterday found a strange bag by the side of the mosque which caused them scamper from the area and in the process sustaining injuries.
An eyewitness said upon seeing the bag and mistaking it for a bomb, they left the mosque.
“As such the bag prevented us going into the mosque to say our prayers,” the eyewitness said.
Blueprint gathered from some residents working in close o the spot also ran away.
The Police Anti Bomb Squad attached to Area Commander Office came to the spot much later to check the contents of the mystery bag.
When asked about the content of the bag, the ‘A’ Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendent Francis Ekanem, said it contained a raw yam, some measures of rice, children’s clothes and smaller bags.
The residents were relieved and sang praises at the team of the Police Anti bomb Squad, and normal activities have since returned.
