Boko Haram attack Borno community, leaves one civilian JTF dead

 

Kawuri village of Konduga local government area in Borno state recently suffered an attack by Boko Haram on Tuesday.

A statement issued and signed by Bashir Sandia, the senior special assistant on Media and Publicity to the executive chairman, Konduga LGC Wednesday and made available to newsmen said the attack, which occurred in Kawuri village, resulted in the destruction of property and the tragic loss of life.

Three shops, two Takumbo Hilux vehicles, one motorcycle, and a Golf salon car were set ablaze by the insurgents. 

The incident also claimed the life of a civilian JTF member.

Following the attack, the council chairman of Konduga LGA, Hon. Abba Ali Abbari, accompanied by council secretary, Alhaji Saleh Bukar, councilor of Kawuri ward, Alhaji Hussaini Mai Durmari, ward chairman of Kawuri, treasurer of the LGC, Alhaji Darman bulama, the director of Works, Mr. Philip Mishelia, the district head of Konduga, members of the CJTF, and vigilante groups, visited the affected community Wednesday.

The chairman offered his condolences to the families of the deceased and assessed the situation. 

He also met with security personnel, urging them to remain vigilant in the face of these challenges.
