A respected community man and retired Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO), Pa Michael Omotosho, is dead. He passed away at age 75.
The late officer was an uncle to Mr. Kehinde Osasona of the Blueprint Newspapers.
A statement from the deceased son, Elder Taiye Omotosho, said he died peacefully in his Offa Garage home in Ilorin in the early hours of Saturday.
A native of Ekan from Odoode Compound, the deceased obtained both primary and secondary school education, worked with the Kwara state Ministry of Works (MoW) until his retirement, having attained the mandatory age.
A tribute in his honour from a former chairman of Oke-Ero LGA and two times Commissioner in Kwara state, Hon. Kayode Towoju reads: “A great man indeed. You came, fought and conquered. You had played your part very well in the journey of life. May your gentle soul rest in peace. Adieu, our Brother.”
Also an in-law, Mr Segun Adeniran described the late Omotosho as a good counselor and a community man par excellence.
He stated in his tribute: “Brother, my in-law and good counselor. You lived a good life. You were loving and caring. We shall definitely miss you. Good night sir.”
Omotosho is survived by wife, Mrs Rachael Omotosho, children, sons-in-laws, daughters-in-laws and grand-children.
Burial arrangement is currently being put together by the family and relatives.
