Blame FG for poor power supply in Bayelsa – Senator Diri

The flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri, has blamed the epileptic power supply in the state on the federal government, noting that power should not be in the exclusive legislative list.

The PDP candidate made the assertion during an interactive session with Journalists on Wednesday at the Earnest Seisei Ikoli Press centre.

He submitted that”A lot of people have misinterpreted to mean that since Governor Dickson came in that is when we started witnessing blackout out in the state. The blame is solely on the power holding company which is owned by the federal government”

He said when he becomes governor, independent power projects will be his priority.

He also called faithful to work in unity for the victory of the party come November 16.

“I’ve often said like most people who criticize governments do not know what is inside of government and if you stay out to criticize you won’t know”

“I want to use this opportunity to call on all those who contested with me, some of them are currently working with me today, but for the few who are yet to come in, we are still appealing. I also say sheath their sword and work for the victory of the party.

“From the beginning of this democracy till today, no other party has won the governorship of our state and this one will not be an exception. But we must be united. I plead with all of them to join force with the party and me to ensure that come November 16th we retain the state,” he said.
