Binos distributes food, consumables to Adamawa South groups

The senator representing Adamawa South at the National Assembly, Binos Dauda Yaroe, has distributed palliatives made up of foods and non-food items to vulnerable groups, including widows, the elderly, people living with disabilities among others across the 9 local governments that make up his senatorial district.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony of the distribution in Mayo-Belwa local government area, Tuesday, Binos said the distribution of the palliative was to cushion the effect of the current economic reality in the  country, which has subjected the common man to untold hardship, making life difficult for most families.

He further noted that the items were meant for the most vulnerable groups in the society; which was why he set up all-encompassing committees  made up of critical stakeholders  across the 9 local governments in the senatorial district to ensure the effective distribution of the palliatives to those  they were meant for.

Binos further assured the people of Adamawa South of his commitment to providing them with effective representation, attract federal presence in the  senatorial district and ensure that they get their own fair share of the national cake from the federal government.

The senator further used the  opportunity to give an account of his stewardship in the  last five  years of his representation  through various innervations, especially in the areas of free medical outreaches, drilling of boreholes, skills acquisition, empowerment, training among other areas, with a promise to do more for his people in line with his pledge to his people.

“I came up with free medical outreach for the purpose of improving the wellbeing of my constituents. I will continue to enhance the health status of the people through provision of free medical services. I have drilled and commissioned over 30 motorised and solar industrial boreholes in rural communities across nine local governments with four additional high powered industrial boreholes currently going on in Mayo Belwa, Numan and Demsa,” he said.
