Benue FA chairman bags chieftaincy title

The Chairman of Benue State Football Association (BSFA), Barr. Paul Edeh, will today be conferred with a Chieftaincy title of as the Ebo K’ldoma (Peace) of Idoma in Otukpo, the ancient city of Idoma nation.

His conferment followed his nomination by the Idoma Area Traditional Council alongside other distinguished sons and daughters of Idoma nation and the state including the Executive Governor of Benue state Rev. Father Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

Barr. Edeh who is the founder of two football clubs – Naija Ratels and Honey Badgers and hails from Ogbadibo area of the state.

The governor will receive the title of Okamaleya K’ldoma (which means Promise Kept).

This was disclosed in a nomination letter signed by Adegbe Uloko, the Secretary of Idoma Area Traditional Council.

The council said the nomination is as a result of his antecedents, contributions to the development of his community in particular and Idoma Nation in general.

Also nominated is the Benue State Deputy Governor, Dr Sam Ode, from Otukpo, who will be conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ebeneigbogwu K’ldoma.

Other notable Benue indigenes nominated for different chieftaincy titles include: Hon. Barr. Obla Godwin, SAN, Hon. Abba Adaudu, Chief Francis Alochu.

Others are Rt Hon Nick Eworo, John Otse Aboh, Dr Ameh Idoko, Barr Bonny Apochi, Hon. David Olotu, Hon. Pastor Ojotu Ojema.

Also to be awarded are: Chief Ogaji Bright Igodo, Prof Ujah Innocent, Chief Ochacho Muhammad Ohiminin, Hon. Michael Oglegba, Hon DS, Lami Danladi and Captain Patrick Agwo Olonta among others.
