Benue: Death of party chairman a rude shock – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state has described the death of Ukum APC chairman, Tony Aboh,
as a rude shock and a big blow.

The party in a statement  signed by the publicity secretary, James Ornguga, on behalf of the state working committee, said the late Aboh was a loyal, committed and service- oriented party man who sacrificed for  the growth of the party.
The party said the deceased played a key role in the defection of notable Ukum sons and daughters to the APC and setting a unity table that strengthened the party in his area.
“The state chairman, APC, Benue state, Comrade Abba Yaro, on behalf of the state working committee, regrets to announce the death of the Ukum APC chairman, Hon. Aboh, after a brief illness.

“He played a key role in fast-pacing the defection of notable Ukum sons and daughters to our party and setting a unity table that has strengthened APC in his area.
“His sudden demise came to us as a rude shock and a big blow, considering his strength of character and ability to mobilise people.
“While extending our deep condolences to his immediate family and the entire Ukum APC, we urge all our members to pray for the repose of his soul.
“Burial arrangements would be announced very soon,” the statement reads in part
