Bello promises to end Kogi Assembly crises

Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has assured the delegation from the House of Representatives who are currently on facts finding mission in the state towards the resolution of the lingering crisis rocking the House of Assembly.
Bello, who gave the assurance while receiving the 10-man committee of the House of Representatives led by the Deputy Chief Whip, Pally Iriase, in Lokoja yesterday, commended the National Assembly for intervening in the crisis, saying it was a welcome development that would help the state to move forward.
He said:

“I inherited this crisis, despite the effort of the stakeholders to end the impasse, the members of the house could not to heed to voice of reasoning to trash out their difference, but I am optimistic that the step taken by the House of Representative will certainly stamp out the crisis in the Kogi Assembly.”
Earlier, the leader of the 10-man delegation told newsmen that the committee would look into the affairs of the Kogi House of Assembly with the aim of restoring rule of law and reporting back to the House within one week.
“Our mission is that of fact finding on the causes of crises in Kogi state house of assembly, we want to know what have happened and what the constitution said with respect to their crises,” he said.
