Bauchi state government has approved the establishment of Oil and Gas Institute in Alkaleri local governments area to be called Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy with acronym (OGAABS)
State commissioners of Power, Science and Technology, Umar Sade, who addressed journalists on behalf of the state executive council on the major decisions taken at the council’s meeting, said already, an inter ministerial implementation committee has been constituted for the immediate take off of the academy.
Sade said the state government shall set the necessary machinery in motion to enact the enabling law establishing the institute to give it the required legal backing, adding, “A project implementation committee has been constituted and a consultant engaged to initiate, plan and coordinate the project, including the preparation of the academy brief for the institute.”
