Bauchi North: Why Imba is the best option

The German-American Poet Charse Bukowski once said that the stupid people are full of confidence while the intelligent ones are full of doubt.

Today in Nigeria, politics is viewed as a business of the weak minded until few came and changed the narratives. Katagum federal constituency is one of the areas where political history is made in Bauchi state and indeed the country in general.

It is an unarguable political discourse that since the exit of the immediate-past member of the House of Representatives, representing the good people of Katagum federal constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Baba, Imba, hopes and confidence seem fading away until his resurgence as the flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, for Bauchi North Senatorial District.

The young people within the federal constituency, where he served from 2015 to 2019 tagged him a revolutionist of the common man who has stood, spoken and made hundreds of them smile during his reign.

The popular saying that, be kind to those you meet on your way, and as endorsement of your successful journey back home has paid the Imba who has impacted positively on the lives of many that he met stranded on their way while serving as a federal law maker reckon with his achievements.

The senatorial district is now awash with the news that the only man who changed the fortunes of hundreds of young people in Katagum federal constituency is today standing strong to extend his good will to the entire senatorial zone.

Born in 1976 in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Nigeria, Imba is an accountant, businessman and politician of high repute that has endeared himself to the lives of many young and the old people.

He attended Government Science Secondary School and graduated in 1994. He obtained his Senior School Certificate from Nasarawa East School, Azare in 1998. In 1998, Ibrahim Mohammad Baba obtained a national diploma from the Kaduna State Polytechnic. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Abuja in 2006 and a master’s degree in finance from the same university in 2008.

Imba worked as a finance officer at the Nigerian Telecommunication Limited before joining active politics in 2011 and was elected to represent Katagum constituency in the House of Representatives. He was re-elected in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His legislative interests include infrastructural development, security, education and health. His passion for human development through empowerment and employment opportunities is the reason Imba’s name is ringing loud in Bauchi North as the best option to replicate his achievements to the wider world.

The forthcoming general elections is a complete deviation from the old order where only bigger political parties sell. The political consciousness and awareness has taken the voters to the peak of voting for individuals who have the capacity, experience and capability to institute good governance to the downtrodden.

The man in question has provided portable drinking water to rural communities both hand pump and motorised, solar street lights. He has made huge investment in the youths and women through different intervention platforms to make them self-sufficient.

One thing that makes him a revolutionary and a different politician is the manner he manages to secure hundreds of permanent and pensionable federal appointments for the youths across Katagum federal constituency when he served as a legislator. Imba’s antecedents and distinguished traits of his service to humanity through politics are the reason why he is the best option in this race.

He is very outspoken law maker, a successful businessman and a philanthropist, who is defined by commitment and passion to the table of the good Bauchi North Senatorial District.

Imba’s well thought and documented legacies of his stewardship in health and education interventions, among many, that are left to posterity to judge and for kindness of history, are sounding loud in the air and ears of the voters. Hon.

Imba today is standing a brighter and overwhelming chance to win the forthcoming senatorial election on the platform of the Social Democratic Party. To this end, voters go and vote beyond the edges of political parties for men of great repute and honour who are willing to turn things around for good.
