Bauchi: Account for FG’s resources collected, Buba challenges Bala

The senator representing Bauchi South senatorial district, Shehu Umar Buba, weekend, tackled Governor Bala Mohammed of the state for criticising the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu- led federal government despite the huge interventions received by the governor from the APC government.

Buba said this in Bauchi while granting interview to journalists at the next level office of the APC when the party flags were handed over to the 20 standard bearers for the August 17th local government election in the state.

The senator challenged the governor to account for all the interventions he received from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration so that Nigerians can judge, insisting that the PDP administration in Bauchi has nothing to complain about the APC- led federal government.

He alleged that the PDP-led administration in Bauchi had shortchanged the people of the state in the implementation of its policies and programmes for the benefit of few individuals, hence the need for the Bauchi state government to acknowledge and appreciate all the interventions received from the federal government.

“We have heard what His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi state, said about His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If he is ready to join issues with the APC government, let him come out and account for all the interventions he received from our government at the national level.

“The hardship the governor is saying is caused by his party the PDP. If anyone says it is the policy of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that is very misleading and fictitious.

“For example, let me tell you about the recent interventions, 20 trucks of rice were given to Bauchi State to distribute to the populace in the state. Where is the rice? Three months ago, about 70 trucks of guinea corn were given from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to distribute. Also, recently, 70 trucks of fertilizer were given free to the Bauchi state government to distribute.

“This hardship in Bauchi is caused by the Bala Mohammed-led government. It is a one man government. Look at all the ministries, nothing is happening,” he said.
