He said his passion to beautify the lives of others is a privilege. He added that, “I’m excited to be part of this great event and I’m assured of the fact that this award speaks for itself and that I’m doing positive things in the lives of persons, both known and unknown to me. It is challenge to make meaningful impact in the society, which should be a priority to all.”
Balogun made this statement when chatting with press men when the Rebranding Leadership Development in Africa initiative conferred on him the African Leader Mentorship Award recently, in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Speaking after receiving the award, Hon Balogun said the quest for a better nation and good life, formed part of his person. He added that his continuous desire to help the less privileged is part of him.
Speaking further, he said the award is a confirmation that the little efforts being brought to the society were being appreciated.
Speaking, the president of Rebranding Leadership Development in Africa initiative, Mr. Oladeinde David Adekunle, said “a wise man once said the best way to love beyond you, is to plant human beings and not trees. Living beyond your days on earth is the only way a person can edge his/her name on the sands of time. And one of the ways to do that is through leadership, either within the family circle, private sectors, government parastatals or governance.”
He also said the distinguished guests present at the auspicious event represented African leaders, outstanding men/women of influence, Africa’s giants, political heavy weights, country representatives, achievers, mentors and aspiring influencers.
