Following his philanthropic activities and provision of succour to downtrodden Nigerians, Abuja based hotelier, Architect Chief Christian Asaga Nwali, has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ebubedike 1 of Unweka Ancient Kingdom in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi state.
The title was conferred on him Thursday by traditional rulers on the owner of establishments of Cirenes Hotels in Kpiri-Kpiri, Abakaliki, Exclusive Serene Hotel and Suites in New Haven, Enugu, Exclusive Serene Hotel and Suites in Wuye, Abuja, C.Sagas Luxury Homes Ltd, during the Unweka Day celebration by Unweka General Assembly (UGA).
Speaking with journalists at the event, the secretary of UGA, Prof. Kenneth Nwekpa, said the conferment of the chieftaincy title on Asaga is significant as he is an extraordinarily young billionaire and visionary leader who transforms dreams into reality.
“It is difficult to fully express the significance of Ebubedike I of the Unweka Ancient Kingdom; mere words seem insufficient to capture his essence. He is a visionary, transforming dreams into reality. Though no one can take on the role of the divine, this extraordinary young billionaire wields considerable influence,” he said.
Former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Chief Franklin Ogbuewu, hailed Chief Nwali, describing him as a young achiever dedicated to the task of uplifting Ebonyians and Nigerians from poverty.
Similarly, the traditional ruler of Ekpaomaka community, HRH, Eze Nwigboji Nwokwa, who is the head of all traditional rulers in Ikwo LGA, said Chief Nwali merits the chieftaincy title of Ebubedike 1 of Unweka Ancient Kingdom as he is a notable philanthropist who has the habit of empowering his workers and the downtrodden.
