Arsenal linked with Man United’s Lingard

Arsenal are being linked with an ambitious move for underfire Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his attacking ranks and has prioriised the signing of an attacking midfielder.
The club currently have Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid but it is believed funds will not  be available to make the deal permanent in the summer window.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal chiefs have accepted they they don’t have £40million for the midfielder, and have instead turned their attention elsewhere.
And United’s Lingard, who has endured a stuttering campaign so far, is one player that has attracted Arteta’s attention.
It has been suggested that Arsenal and United have a good relationship when it comes to transfers, having dealt with each other a number of times over the years.

Deals include the swap move between Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez and the deadline day signing of Danny Welbeck in 2014.
Whether the move for Lingard materialises remains to be seen and it is understood any potential deal would depend on Ceballos’s future.
