…Arrest ASP for vandalism in Nasarawa

Also in Nasarawa, the state Police Command has arrested an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for vandalising transformer.

Kennedy, confirmed this yesterday in Lafia, explaining that the “40-year-old ASP Garba Audu, was arrested by the special anti- robbery squad (SARS) for allegedly vandalising the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) transformer in Obi junction, Obi local government area of the state.
“On Friday 17th November, about 1530hrs, operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) acting on intelligence, arrested five suspects, including a police officer, for criminal conspiracy and stealing of coil,” he said.
He added that investigation into the case had commenced by the state criminal investigation and intelligence department, Lafia and that disciplinary procedure against the police officer was simultaneously ongoing.
The command assured members of the Police’s determination to purge out bad eggs from the Force in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s policy of zero tolerance for corruption and unprofessional conduct.
