Army rotates troops in North-east

By Musa Umar Bologi Abuja Nigerian Army has returned 29 soldiers of 29 Battalion, Port Harcourt, to their main units. A statement by Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, said the rotation was in line with the determination of the Chief of Army Staff to rotate troops the have overstayed in the North-east. He said the troops had served in various units under Operation Lafi ya Dole “where they contributed immensely to the successes of routing out and defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists in the North-east.

” He added that the General Offi cer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Maj.-Gen. EO Udoh, welcomed the troops back to their unit after a successful tour of duty in the North-east and “applauded them for their selfl ess sacrifi ces to the nation.” “He further enjoined them to pray for their colleagues who are still in the theatre for God’s protection and continued victory over the remnants of the enemies of our great nation, Boko Haram terrorists,” Iliyasu said.
