Army commander warns officers, soldiers against laxity

  

The newly posted Commandant Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, Major General Ahmadu Bello Mohammed, Tuesday charged officers and soldiers of the institution to always exhibit absolute dedication and professionalism in their noble task as instructors in order to meet the objective of turning out well-trained and good soldiers for the Nigerian Army.

He gave the warning shortly after taking the leadership mantle of the school as the 38 commandant as contained in a statement by the institution’s spokesman, Major Everest Ochienta, which was made available to journalists in Zaria.

The statement reads: “Major General AB Mohammed made this assertion during the handing and taking over ceremony which held at the Headquarters Depot Nigerian Army Conference Room, Chindit Cantonment, Zaria.

“The commandant who took over command as the 38th commandant of the great institution from the immediate past Commandant Major General Muhammed Aminu Abdullahi promised that he will ensure that recruits welfare which includes feeding, medical care and their training is improved to the highest standards while also ensuring that the overall welfare of officers and soldiers are given utmost priority.”
