Arewa youth urge FG, NBC to call Brekete Family radio to order

The youth wing of the apex body in northern Nigeria, the Arewa Youth Assembly, has called on the federal government, security agencies and the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to tame the activities of producer and presenter of the Brekete Family radio, Mr Ahmed Isah, popularly known as Ordinary President.

The group at a press conference in Abuja, addressed by the publicity secretary, Alhaji Ali Mohammad, Friday, stated that Ahmed Isah is now acting as the commander-in-chief of the country, continuously undermining and making mockery of the office and person of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We are calling on all the security agencies to look into the activities of Ahmed Isa and the Berkete Family to authenticate their source of funding and their overall activities.

“We are worried that the journalist who calls himself Ordinary President, has been exercising both executive and judicial power; in some cases, he acts like a law enforcement agent, bullying people at will, and if not properly checkmated, he will one day declare himself the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria because the man in question seems to be forming a parallel government in our country,” he said.

Citing cases of abuse, the group quoted Ahmed Isah to have said he would pay up ASUU, inciting Nigerians against their one, and true President.

They also cited that he used his platform to allegedly blackmail the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) over registration procedure.
