President of the Senate, David Mark, yesterday lamented the death of Ibadan-based business mogul and the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Alhaji Abdulazeez Arisekola-Alao, describing him as “a philanthropist” who touched the lives of many in positive ways.
In statement issued yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Mumeh, in Abuja, Mark, who expressed sadness over the death of Arisekola, condoled with the immediate family, Muslim community and government of Oyo state, pointing out that the frontline Islamic leader was a great pillar.

He noted the contributions of the late Arisekola to the development of his immediate environment and dedication to the course of the Islam and promoted peaceful coexistence.
He said: “Alhaji Arisekola was a man of peace and a patriotic citizen who loved his country. Arise-kola was a successful captain of industries. He triumphed and contributed immensely to the socio- economic development of the nation.”
The President of the Senate urged the family to emulate the exemplary life of their late patriarch, adding that the only way to immortalise late Arisekola was to replicate his virtue of hard work and discipline.
He prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
