The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has urged Nigerians to take introspection and appraise themselves as part of the nation’s 57th independent anniversary in order to help the country surmount its myriad challenges. Th e party said it felicitates with Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 57th independence anniversary, saying that the federal government should urgently wake up to its constitutional responsibility and start delivering on its promises of making Nigeria for all and not that of those in power and the privileged . A statement signed by APGA National Director of Publicity, Ifeanacho Oguejiofor, noted that the party read the president’s anniversary speech with mixed feelings, claiming that the government seem to have lost touch with the reality of things as they aff ect Nigeria and Nigerians. “Th e government has to be aware that it has not really achieved what its party promised Nigerians during its campaign, as to change and transform the country totally, rather generally, the country is dwindling and worst off , in an avoidable economic recession and social dislocation, which have caused massive pangs of hunger, deprivation and depression to the masses. “Th at the federal government should stop pointing fi ngers and accept as well as take up responsibilities to make Nigeria work” the statement said.
