APC’s Ganduje wins guber rerun with landslide margin in Kano

Incunbent governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been declared winner of Kano State supplementary election conducted across the 28 local government areas of the state on Saturday.

After collation of results of the election, Governor Ganduje who contested on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 45, 876 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Abba Yusuf of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 10, 239 votes.

Abba Yusuf was leading the APC candidate with over 20, 000 votes in the first ballot of the election conducted last Saturday.

However, with the supplementary election, Gov. Ganduje has overtaken the PDP candidate and is set to be declared winner of the election at the end of the collation of all the votes which is ongoing.
