The APC Arewa Youths Merger Group has condemned the remarks made by the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, highlighting the alleged failures of the Ahmed Bola Tunubu government.
This was contained in a statement signed by the national chairman of the group, Hon. Musa Mujahid Zaitawa and made available to newsmen Sunday.
They stated that Lamido’s remarks against the Tunubu government are an attempt to undermine the good policies of President Tunubu in his efforts to develop the country’s economy.
The group accused Lamido of adopting an agenda to fight Tunubu before the 2027 elections to sabotage his achievements and his government have made.
It added that although Lamido is facing a court case, the court has not yet ruled on the Kano Emirate, but he is increasingly violating the law and doing all the things that the law prohibits him from doing.
The group called on security agencies to immediately take action against Sanusi for calling himself the Emir of Kano despite the court having suspended him.
The group said a few days ago, without the knowledge of the Nigerian government, Lamido personally visited the President of the Republic of Niger, accusing him of seeking to sow discord between Nigeria and Niger.
