The National Coordinator, All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Ali Silas Agara has said the group had mobilised and disbursed some fund to the genuine leadership of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG).
He said this Tuesday when the genuine leadership of the amalgamated groups under the leadership of the Director General, Engineer Kailani Mohammad and Deputy Director General, Hajiya Maryam Danjaki, paid a solidarity visit at the headquarters of the APC Tinubu Shettima Independent Grassroots Campaign (APC-ICC) in Abuja.
“National Coordinators of some support groups told me that they would use their means to work for the success of the party.
“But other supporters of APC and Asiwaju Ahmed Ahmed Tinubu raised some gifts and directed that APC-ICC should disburse to the Amalgamated Groups Leadership for them to continue grassroots mobilization before and after the Presidential elections.
“But, some alleged fake leaders of the Amalgamated group came on Monday and went berserk. But I addressed them that they should reconcile amongst themselves and benefit to continue working for the progress of the APC,” he said.
Agara said he had forgiven those that attempted to smear his good name even as “we continue to celebrate the victory of Bola Tinubu, the flag bearer and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima and working for the victory of APC candidates in this week’s gubernatorial and other elections.”
In their responses, Director General APC Amalgamated Support Groups, Engineer Kailani Mohammad said: “We have impeached the old leadership of Dr Nasir Ladan through a vote of no confidence and that the gift is with the Amalgamated Groups for disbursements to members accordingly.”
Also speaking, a female party stalwart, Hajiya Maryam Danjaki said the APC-ICC under Agara’s leadership was having a cordial working relationship towards the victory of all APC candidates.
Those present at the solidarity visit were Senator Binta Masi Garba, Deputy National Coordinator of APC-ICC, Architect Umar Ibrahim, an APC chieftain, Prince Isiaq Ajibola, Assistant Director, Press APC-ICC Ibraheem Hamza Muhammad, Mrs Mariah Olasehinde, John Chucks, Umma Danjaki and many APC supporters.
