A frontline All Progressives Congress support group, APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has berrated opposition over alleged ploy to incite Nigerians against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group particularly called out the presidential candidate of the People Democratic party (PDP) in the 2023 general election Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for having nothing to offer Nigerians than diminish the efforts of the current administration at transformation of the economy.
The Group’s National Coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema in a press statement Monday alleged that it is likely that the bold initiatives of the present administration is a source of concern for Atiku and his group, hence their fruitless efforts at discrediting it.
APC G3 said the bold decision of the administration to remove fuel subsidy and float the naira is already yielding results, urging Nigerians to excercise more patience.
According to APC G3 “Well meaning Nigerians are keenly watching as Atiku Abubakar who played a big role in the fragmentation of main opposition party, PDP is now blaming President Tinubu for their crisis.
“Nigerians cannot be deceived. The Atiku led coalition will collapse like a pack of cards because it is all about selfish interests. The welfare of the common Nigeria is not in their calculations. It is all about themselves.
“Infact, one of them a former governor and minister confessed that he has been in power since leaving NYSC. He has so benefitted from the Nigerian state that he can’t cope out of power.
“The bold decision by President Tinubu to remove fuel subsidy and float the naira should be commended. It is coming with pains, but will help the country get back on its sound footings.
“Unlike President Tinubu, these men are always moving from party to party seeking where to achieve selfish interests. Nigerians are wiser, they have nothing to offer us,” APC G3 added.
