APC chieftain Takko begs Tinubu to return Gwarzo as minister

A prominent politician from Bauchi, Alhaji Sanusi Babban Takko, has appealed to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to reconsider Dr. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo as minister and member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Alhaji Takko, who served as member of stakeholders relations in the defunct All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) during the 2023 presidential election, said Dr. Gwarzo is a grassroots politician, respected figure within the nation and international community, as well as a political colossus who has added immeasurable values and impetus to the Renewed Hope Agenda, during his service as the Hon Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

Alhaji Takko said: “It is undisputed that Dr.  Gwarzo’s pedigree, antecedents as a team player with vast wealth of experience in administration, industrialisation acumen, excellent negotiating skills, exceptional knowledge in the environment and governance having served as Hon Commissioner in various ministries with distinction and also as Deputy Governor of Kano state with unblemished record.

“Interestingly and with all due respect to the patriotic Nigerian leader, Your Excellency sir, Dr. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, despite being a Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development with limited time, achieved multiples of positive goals, brought pride, recognition and acceptability from international partners, indigenous enterprises and from advanced countries to Federal Republic of Nigeria in bringing the desire revolution in terms of innovation which has made positive impacts to greater majority of Nigerians with respect to drastic reductions of housing deficits and mass urbanisation facing the most complex and challenging sector.

“Be it as it may, the idea of relieving Dr. Gwarzo from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidency cum Renewed Hope Administration is a shocker to millions of Nigerians and international community at large, considering his consistency in pursuing set goals and aspirations, which helped to unite our great party in Kano State and beyond. It is very painful that such a gem will exit from the Federal Executive Council despite having a credible and unblemished record, as he is seen as a great asset in Kano state for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, as the 2027 presidency gathers momentum.”
