APC based on ideology — Chair

Abia State Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon Chief Conatus Nwankpa, has said the party will provide a level playing ground for all contestants because it is rooted in ideology and not on impunity.
APC chairman stated this at the party secretariat while interacting with journalists on the chances of the party in the state come 2019.
Nwankpa, who added that the party was strongly rebuilding to wrestle power from PDP in the emerging political dispensation, dispelled the rumour that APC is not on ground in the state
“APC is a party that is rooted in ideology and not on impunity. We will provide a level playing ground for all and sundry to try their electoral strength, we will conduct free, fair and transparent primaries,” party chairman said.
He maintained that APC is bigger than any individual in the party at such no individual is going to dominate the party.
He revealed that in 2019, that Abians would witness election where the electorate would decide who rules them unlike what obtains in the past stressing that 2011, that military became part of the election.
He pointed out that the party is embarking on political sensitization to educate the voters how they can use their voting power vote out bad government, trying to let them know their rights which will bring good governance.
Nwankpa, who was a former lawmaker in the state, further hinted that APC was planning a mega rally in Abia state that would bring together all big politicians that have joined the party ahead of 2019.
On some of the political big Wig’s that have joined APC in Abia included former Governor ,Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, former Deputy Governor, Dr Chris Akomas, former senators, ministers, captains of industry.
