A frontline member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspiring House of Representatives, Sabon Gari federal constituency in Kaduna state in the 2015 general election, Alhaji Yusuf Salihu, popularly known as Shaka, has distributed 72 tricycles to party supporters as soft loan.
Addressing the party supporters at the distribution ceremony held at Jama’a village in Sabon Gari local government area, Alhaji Yusuf Salihu, said the tricycles were meant to cushion the effect of the recent ban of okada by the government which negatively affected the people.
He pointed out that the ban of okada by the government ruled by the PDP was terrifying to the people of the state and subjected them to serious economic hardship.
He said: “APC is committed to bring positive change that will make lives of the people of our dear state. I assure you that if APC is voted into power at all levels people you will see the difference.”
He added that the loan was free interest payable in 18 months, therefore, warned the beneficiaries to use tricycles to assist people by not charging exorbitantly.
He advised those that could not get the tricycles to exercise patience as this was just beginning and would be captured in the next edition.
