APC a commercial party, says Tukur

Immediate past National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, yesterday branded the All Progressives Congress (APC) as “All Commercial Party.”
Tukur also said he remained “irevocably committed to the course of the PDP and will continue to be in the party to give it unalloyed support,” adding that “this is because the PDP is the only reliable platform to serve Nigeria better.”

He said this when a PDP pressure group, National Consolidated Group (NCG), paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
Tukur called on PDP members that had defected to other political parties to have a re-think and return to the PDP.

He said: “The PDP is solid, intact and united as ever. This is evidence by the influx of politicians to the PDP. Many more politicians, men and women of goodwill will still join the party. Truly, the PDP is the party to beat. I enjoined all members of PDP family who have defected to other parties to have a rethink and return to the fold of the PDP.

“I call on you and indeed all Nigerians to vote massively for the PDP in future elections and support the PDP as the party is a united political family. I urge you people to work for PDP and ensure that there is peace and harmonious existence in the party.”
National coordinator of the group, Hon. Francis Ajon Ugboho, said it was honoured to identify with Tukur, being a product of his visionary leadership labours in the party.
Ugboho added that the immediate objective of the group was to work for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan as the 2015 general elections.
