Christian Aburime, the spokesman to Governor Charles Soludo has confirmed the kidnap of Anambra state Commissioner for Youths Development, Hon. Patrick Aghamba, and his wife.
He said the Commissioner and his wife were abducted by gunmen on Friday morning at Ubiaja, Edo state.
An aide to the Commissioner Mr ABK Offiah was killed in the process.
The Commissioner and his family members were said to be travelling to Abuja for the wedding of Governor Soludo’s daughter Adaora when the incident occurred.
A trending video showed that other passengers of the vehicle were equally kidnapped although the police had not confirmed the report.
Nonye Soludo did her traditional marriage at Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state.
