Anambra: Atiku pledges to complete 2nd Niger bridge if elected

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has promised quick completion of second Niger bridge once elected on February 16 general election.

Atiku, who made the promise at the PDP mega campaign rally in Onitsha on Thursday, said he was passionate of completing it because his wife hails from the commercial city, one of the locations of 2nd Niger Bridge.

He further assured people of the South East region quick construction of all roads in the region with the assistance of his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi.

Atiku who was accompanied to the campaign field with Peter Obi and his wife, Jenifer Atiku Abubakar, said he was not in Onitsha to campaign, but to present his wife and deputy, who he said were the real contestants.

He also implored eligible voters to get their PVCs ready to vote out President Muhammadu Buhari led APC government, as well as to vote for all PDP candidates.

On his part, the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, while presenting the party candidates with the PDP flags, called on Anambrarians to vote PDP candidates at the poll.

Blueprint reports that Atiku earlier visited the palace of Obi of Onitsha, Obi Alfred Achebe, to sought for his royal blessing in order to boost his economic dreams for the country.
