Stakeholders from Aguata Local Government Area (LGA) in Anambra South Senatorial District, on Weekend, vowed to mobilise electorate to reject monetary inducements and reelect the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Aguata is the LGA where Soludo, who is the APGA candidate for the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial poll and Nicholas Ukachukwu of All Progressives Congress (APC), among other personalities from Anambra South Senatorial District, hail from.
But the stakeholders, who included the captain of industries, traditional rulers, youth, women, politicians and apolitical statesmen, insisted that supporting Soludo’s reelection was sacrosanct due to his numerous infrastructural and economic development, including improved security and tourists attraction centres.
The Chief Executive Officer, Jezco Group of Companies, Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, who addressed the media on their behalf, at end of their facility tour of key infrastructural projects executed by the administration in Awka and Ekwulobia, said they would sensitise electorate to ensure that even if they collect money from anyone it would not influence their voting decision.
Ezeokafor, who described Soludo as a transformational visional leader, averred that the development projects executed by the governor all over Anambra State was enough reason for him to win landslide, adding that whoever votes against him due to monetary inducements would be judged by God.
“It is too glaring to see. The impact is massive. We are all feeling it in various ways. If you are not driving or walking along the road, you are drinking the pipe borne water or making more money from your house rent, businesses, name them. I will keep supporting every government of this nature because it is improving the welfare of my people,” he added.
He also expressed satisfaction over the governor’s bridge and erosion control project ongoing at Umuchiani Ekwulobia, noting that upon it completions, ecological issues threatening Oko, Ekwulobia and surrounding environments would be a forgotten issue.
