Amapakabo close to Rangers’ deal

There are strong indications that Imama Amapakabo will receive a fresh contract from Enugu Rangers to confirm his role as the club’s new manager.
The club’s hierarchy has been impressed by the work of Amapakabo, who was elevated following Kelechi Emeteole’s suspension.
Amapakabo was appointed after Emeteole’s exit on a caretaker basis and the management declared that his performance will determine the decision of the club concerning the managerial seat.

As expected, intense lobbying by former players of the club has characterised the scene since Emeteole exited the club.
However, many believe Emeteole closed the door to a possible return due to comments made after he was told to step aside.
Amapakabo has led the club to three consecutive victories since the defeat at Kwara United on match day 11.

Interestingly, the road trip win at Warri Wolves, which is one of the difficult grounds in the league, serves as the icing on the cake.
Rangers played over 57 minutes with ten men following Etim Matthew’s dismissal in the first half and worked hard to preserved Razak Adegbite’s early goal to claim maximum points.

And former log leaders, Sunshine Stars, lost their position after becoming the third victim of Amapakabo’s era.
“It’s only a matter of time, Amapakabo has wormed his way into the hearts of the players, management and fans. Apart from the results, the team is playing good football.
Amapakabo will lead his troops against reigning champions, Kano Pillars on Wednesday.
