AMAC APC endorses Candido for second term

All Progressives Congress (APC) Coalition of Geo-Political Zones in AMAC has endorsed the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, for a second term.
Addressing members of the Coalition at its First Town Hall meeting, its chairman, Mr. Dogo Williams, said the endorsement of Candido for his re-election in 2019 became necessary “in view of his remarkable performance in the last two and a half years.”
Williams, who is also the chairman of APC North-east Geo-political Zone in AMAC, said the members of the Coalition were happy with the administration of Candido in providing the dividends of democracy to the residents.
He said it was for “this reason that all the six geo-political groups in AMAC decided to “come together here to speak with one voice to support Candido in his re-election bid come 2019.”
Williams added that Candido had done much to deserve this honour and urged the people to support him “to come back in 2019 so as to continue the good work he has started.”
“We have so many reasons we are saying we are supporting Candido/Onuchukwu for a second term. I want to assure you (chairman) that not only those of us that are non-indigenes that have endorsed you, also indigenous groups have endorsed you too,” he said.
In his goodwill message, the AMAC APC chairman, Alhaji Abbas Baba, charged members of the Coalition to always promote the interest of the party and urged them to shun any act capable of bringing disrepute to the party.
Responding, Candido who thanked the Coalition for recognising his achievements, promised to respond to “these numerous endorsements by various groups in no distant future.”
“On behalf of myself and the entire party membership in AMAC, I stand here to most sincerely appreciate you and it is my prayers that God will reward you abundantly and by the grace of God we will not disappoint you,” he said.
